Diary of a strong Black Woman
She is strong
She is a woman
Bold, Beautiful and Blessed
Though known as a weaker vessel but stronger than anyone could ever imagine.
She looks pain in the eye and handles it like it's nothing.
She looks betrayal in the eye and forgives it like Jesus would.
She is a lover and a keeper.
She knows she's loved but however not loved the way she would want.
She knows she is cared for but however not in the Language she really, truly understands
She craves more than just what money can buy
She craves the time, the attention.
She craves an atom of peace in its entirety, not to say there is war, but she wants a day off.
A day to herself alone.
A day to explore
A day to be adventurous
A day to just be herself..
A day to feel the spark and everything that makes her a woman
..... She is a strong Black Woman and these are her desires

Love is work

Love is work!  What does it really mean to love and be loved?  Countless times I hear people say that, oh they want to be loved and they want to love too. Well it's only natural that we desire all that but love is work!! Yes I said love is work. It's easy to take the better part and leave the worse part It's easy to stick together in health rather than sickness. But the true test of love comes when we are able to go through troubled waters with people we claim to love. It comes with being able to really look beyond the faults (because we all have them anyway) It comes when we are willing to help these people through their trying times. Love is work, but most of all.. love is realizing that every hour, every minute, every second was worth it because you did it together Loves really costs everything.
