Locked In

I felt I was free to do whatever I wanted because I thought oh well I am an adult
I thought being an adult meant you could explore whatever you see and not care about the consequences.
But then I got locked in, locked in by the zeal to do right by first, God and then me.
Locked in by the values I was given knowing that the line I wanted to tow was given to destroy me
I got locked in by the impression upon my heart to light up my generation, irrespective of the pressure around.
Locked in by the desire to be a light and a sound in this time when doing right or standing by your principles is seen as old fashioned.
I got locked in but then free to be the best in my world!!!!

Love is work

Love is work!  What does it really mean to love and be loved?  Countless times I hear people say that, oh they want to be loved and they want to love too. Well it's only natural that we desire all that but love is work!! Yes I said love is work. It's easy to take the better part and leave the worse part It's easy to stick together in health rather than sickness. But the true test of love comes when we are able to go through troubled waters with people we claim to love. It comes with being able to really look beyond the faults (because we all have them anyway) It comes when we are willing to help these people through their trying times. Love is work, but most of all.. love is realizing that every hour, every minute, every second was worth it because you did it together Loves really costs everything.
